The admission of residents to Shalom Manor is coordinated by the local Community Care Access Centre (CCAC) located in most communities. The CCAC makes the final decision about the admission of applicants and is based on a priority and needs list. Residents are admitted in three possible categories: basic, semi-private (couples) or private accommodation.
The admission of residents to Shalom Gardens is coordinated directly by the Admissions Coordinator of Shalom Manor & Shalom Gardens.
Initial contacts, tours and information for both Shalom Manor & Shalom Gardens are available through the admissions coordinator. For an appointment to answer questions and/or to have a tour, please call Bernice Robson at 905-945-9631, ext. 1152.
Shalom Manor is unique in that we are a Christian long-term-care home with firm roots tied to the Dutch heritage, the Christian Reformed Church and other Reformed Christian denominations. It is this community we serve primarily. Presently, Shalom Manor has over 80 seniors on a waiting list for acceptance.
